| About
Multiple Intelligences:
|
| Well
publicised studies in Brain research conducted by
Howard Gardner of Harvard University
demonstrate that there are many different intelligences
present in every human brain. We all possess
Multiple Intelligence and have different preferred
styles of learning.
Their relative strengths vary from person to person,
partly due to different ways we are developed as a
result of our learning experiences. As we take
human differences seriously and identify the strengths
in every child, we can then
personalise learning and cultivate desired
capabilities in the most efficient and appropriate
manner.

| Thematic
& Project Approach Integrating Multiple Intelligences:
|
| Our
curriculum is designed based on a specific theme every
month that acknowledges the needs and interests of
children. Monthly excursions, activities,learning
centers, and lesson plans are carefully planned according
to the theme and are presented in such a way so as
to reflect positve attitudes towards self and
others.
The primary objective of project approach is to build
up children's self esteem and confidence as
they develop skills to master certain tasks. The role
of our teachers is to assist them to become independent
and competent learners.

| Partnership
between Parents & the "TEAM":
|
| We
believe that parents and teachers should work hand
in hand together and we share common ground of
interest and commitment with the family so as
to make the child's learning meaningful and interesting.
Parents are invited to participate in school's activities
such as Sport's Carnival, Open House, Annual Concert
etc.. Parents are offered the opportunities to meet
the teachers during Home Visits and Parent-Teacher
Meetings to discuss their child's progress.
A daily diary provides a two-way communication
between parents and teachers and parents are welcome
to make comments and suggestions about the school's
program.
